Sweet! I hope you don't mind but I put up events on the Chicago Area Krosmaster Players Google Plus community for the Anime Central tournament and panel.

Also, in the Frigost Kickstarter hangout Erica mentioned that the Anime Central tournament would also be a regional qualifier. Was that incorrect?

I wonder if they will have something going on at AFO in Florida.

Unfortunately we are not attending that event as a company, but maybe some local group might run something.

Will there be a Regional at AnimeNEXT in NJ in June. I was under the impression it was, but it isn't on your list.

Any plans to attend PacifiCon or. CelestiCon in the Bay Area at the end of August?

We do not have plans for those events as they conflict with other cons for us.

sad
GenCon 2014 still has yet to release the Krosmaster events to the roster. I look forward to meeting the team! This game is pretty amazing!

This is great to hear that Krosmaster is focusing on the US! If anyone is attending Phoenix Comic Con in a few weekends I'll be giving demos. I'll also have my team if anyone wants to get in an actual game!

I hear on the Japanime Facebook page that there will be a tournament at A-Kon in Dallas. I have not been able to get anyone to confirm any details on their Facebook page and the IRL tournament function on the Krosmaster main page still does not seem to work. I have also been able to find any information about it on the A-Kon site.
Can anyone give me any details regarding this, as I would love to attend. wub

What are the rules / limitations for a "Open Tournament" as far as team make up via full 12 power teams? Half teams? Blind draft? Half draft? Is there a figure ban list, or adjustments for equalization? What you would need to bring to participate?

I'm sorry if this was posted somewhere else - I don't currently see any events listed for GenCon - will there be any this year? If so do we know what format?

Thank you very much for your time.

I emailed Japanime about Gen Con and was told

The events should post soon, both my boss and I are on their case about it. They were submitted before the deadline and should have been posted. Sorry about the delay.

We are still awaiting approval for Gen Con. They have approved our events, but have not assigned us a location, so the events are not listed yet.

As far as tournament rules, here are some brief descriptions:

Open Tournament and Regionals will use the default construction rules. Players are required to bring a 12 point team and all the tokens that are needed to play that team.

Partial Drafts allow a player to bring 6 points of figures and then draft in a rotisserie fashion until you have a team 12 points or less.

With the release of Season 2, Full Drafts will get players 4 boosters and draft a 12 point team from them.

In sealed play, players will get a number of sealed boosters and make a team using just what is in their boosters.

Hope that helps.

Gen Con events up!

Now the National Qualifier listing says
Yes, materials are provided for this game. You do not need to bring your own.

What does that mean? Boards and tokens will be provided, just bring your figures?

EDIT: answer came with the email confirmation.

Boards, dice and counters will be provided. Players are required to bring a 12 point band of no more than 8 models.
